We rented a cabin in Ruidoso, drove down and just had a wonderful time.
Aimee and Sean played in the stream, loafed in the hammock and luxuriated in the hot tub.
The two babies, Rylee and Kasey, were adorable. Poor Rylee wasn't feeling well part of the time but when she was up to snuff she'd do her "Rylee Dance" and growl like a "Rylee bear." Kasey was "bear walking" all over the place and figured out how to climb the stairs up to the loft. We had to do some creative fencing.
It made my day when I heard my kids (I count my daughters-in-law as mine) laughing and talking and having a general good time in the hot tub.
I, and I hope they, had such a good time that we may just have to do it again next year.
